As part of this transition, Sam went to work for Tiny Naylor’s and Jeff went to sit on the 1984 Olympic Committee which was to be hosted in Los Angeles. The Carriage Club, a restaurant in Long Beach, was on the market and Sam went with Tiny Naylor’s to look at the prospect of the space. He called Jeff and proposed they start their own venture and take over this location as their first project. Jeff agreed and they signed their first lease the day before Thanksgiving in 1983.

At that time, our company was called University Restaurant Group, a name inspired by the ‘friendly’ rivalry of USC and UCLA, Sam and Jeff's respective alma maters, and we held that name until 1998. Since then they've proven to be successful operators, and they've cultivated the art of delivering a quality product and a great Guest experience in all economic environments. They learned a lot from their fathers and Sam and Jeff continue to teach, guide and lead us to great adventures. Color- and belt clip changes incur minor upcharges to the reasonably priced holster, so don’t be afraid to get exactly what you want. When it comes to ease of use, the ANR OWB Holster excels. Right out of the box, it fit my Glock G17 with ZEV threaded barrel snugly, with the open bottom allowing the extended barrel to poke through without issue. Drawing and re-holstering the firearm was effortless, thanks to the precisely molded shape that retains the weapon securely in place until needed.

There’s an MRD variant of the Reflex available for slightly more than the non-optics version we have here today, and it’s a departure from FN’s normal optics-mounting system. Rather than use the plates and shims that the standard 509 MRD employs, the Reflex has a standard RMSc footprint for direct attachment. Again, it’s a personal preference, and FN has opted to have both models available at launch. I tried all three, and they all worked well, but my favorite was the standard engraved (with their logo) polymer clip. This two-screw belt holder is wide enough to form a firm grip on the belt, preventing the holster from swiveling inside the waistband. It also allows the easiest on and off at the beginning and end of your day.

With a capacity of 378 passengers, Viking Octantis (and now its sister ship) holds the distinction of being the largest modern cruise ship to sail the lakes. Everyone cruising in Canada must also undergo precruise testing (something that the majority of cruise lines also still require) even though prearrival COVID testing has been dropped for international air arrivals into Canada. Make sure to check with your cruise line and the latest government restrictions as requirements can and do change. According to the marketing association Cruise the Great Lakes, nine ships are on the lakes this year, which marks a return after no cruises at all in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Longer cruises on the Great Lakes trace a similar route from Chicago, adding stops at Cleveland, Ohio and Buffalo, NY, both on Lake Erie. A stop is made at the Lake Ontario port of Rochester, NY, before entering the Erie Canal, passing through New York Harbor and ending in Warren, RI. Pearl Sea Cruises operates the 210-passenger Pearl Mist on seven- or 11-night cruises between Milwaukee and Toronto or Midland.

In addition to the submarine, the ship also carries Zodiacs and kayaks (for use in Canadian waters).
